Our Family Rooms

A Place of Respite for Families

Ronald McDonald House® South Central Ontario operates two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located on the third floor of McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton, as well as a Family Rooms in Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines.

These rooms serve as places of respite where families can grab a coffee, a bite to eat, or relax and experience a sense of normalcy without having to leave their child in hospital.

Anyone with a child being treated at the hospital is invited to use our Family Rooms, along with siblings and other family members.

The rooms are equipped with complimentary snacks and refreshments as well as a kitchenette and dining area. They also include a cozy sitting areas with television and fireplace, and a space for computer access with internet. We also offer various programming including crafts, books, and toys for children.
